Meinhard Holler – violoncello Born in Graz, Austria. Musical education starting from the age of four. Prize winner of several youth competions in his early age. Studies at the music academy of Graz and at the conservatory ‘Richard-Strauss’ of Munich with professor Jannis Chronopoulos and Professor Jan Polášek. After that studying at the music academy of Saarbrücken with Professor David Grigorian, for many years assistant to and master student of Mstislav Rostropovich.
Several courses of chamber music and orchestra with Heinrich Schiff. Master courses with e.g. Phillippe Muller, Marjory Cornelius, Paul Tortelier, David Grigorian, Eduard Brunner, Altenberg Trio Vienna, Sergiu Celibidache. Promotion prize for music from "Kulturkreis Gasteig" Munich.

Recurrent concert engagements in "Cello Mellow", "Juon Trio" (with Slava Cernavca, clarinet and Zoriana Tkachyk, piano), and as partner for duets with the pianists Yuri Kot, Olga Zalogina, Neritan Hysa and Caroline Bergius. With Caroline Bergius (harsichord) Meinhard Holler also plays music for those two instruments. Concert tours with those musicians led him through France, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia ...

Time-intensive duties as teacher and supporter of young people with regular successes of his students at competitions. Has a private cello class in Munich. Intensiv pedagogical exchange with the cellists Boža Saramandić (Serbia), Ivan Kučer (conservatory of Kiev/ Ukraine) and David Grigorian. Author of voluminous pedagogical literature for his instrument. Is member of jury in competitions and holds master classes in Austria, Germany, Serbia...
