Yuri Kot – Klavier

Studium und Postdiplom in der Meisterklasse von Prof. V. Kozlov an der Musikhochschule Kiev „P. I. Čajkovskij“. 1988 Laureat des nationalen Lyssenko-Klavierwettbewerbs in Kiev, 1992 2. Preis beim internationalen Prokofjev-Klavierwettbewerb in St. Petersburg, 1993 2. Preis beim internationalen Wettbewerb für Kammermusik „Goldener Herbst“ in Khmelnitsky in der Kategorie Klavierduo mit der Pianistin Irina Alexeychouk, 1996 2. Preis (der 1. Preis wurde nicht vergeben) beim 45. Internationalen ARD-Wettbewerb in München in der Kategorie Klavierduo mit der Pianistin Irina Alexeychouk, 1997 3. Preis beim 6. Internationalen „Murray Dranoff Wettbewerb“ für Klavierduo in Miami. Zahlreiche Autritte als Solist mit berühmten Orchestern aus der Ukraine, aus Rußland, aus Deutschland, Japan, Italien, Spanien, Portugal, Frankreich und den USA. Seit 1994 ist er Professor für Klavier an der Musikhochschule von Kiev „P. I. Čajkovskij“. 1995 wurde er mit dem Titel “The Honoured Artist of Ukraine” ausgezeichnet. Er nahm an internationalen Musikfestivals teil, darunter: „Musiksommer-97“ (Dresden – Deutschland), “Two Pianos Plus” (Miami, USA), “Modern Music Festival” (Banská Bystrica, Slowakei), “Kiev Music Fest”, “Music Premieres of the Season” Kiev, “Regina and Vladimir Horowitz - in memoriam” Kiev, “Farbotony” (Kanev, Ukraine), “Festival zeitgenössischer Krakauer Komponisten” (Krakau, Polen), „Richter-Fest“ (Odessa, Ukraine), Klaviermusik-Festival “Una tastiera per due mondi” (Carrara, Italy). Juror in zahlreichen Wettbewerben in der Ukraine, in Rußland, Serbien, Slowenien, Makedonien… Er hält Meisterklassen in der Ukraine (V. Horowitz master class, Kiev), Serbien (Kragujevac, Belgrad, Šabac), Japan (Tokio, Kyoto, Hiroshima), Makedonien (Ohrid), Slowenien (Ljubljana), Österreich („colluvio“ - Gut Hornegg). Laufend weltweit Konzertverpflichtungen als Solist und als Kammermusiker (Klavierduo, Klaviertrio und andere Besetzungen).

22.01.1966 - was born in Krasnoarmeysk Donetsk region (Ukraine).
From 1986 to 1993 - got musical education in Kiev National Academy of Music as a pianist and as a post-graduate student at the piano department of the above Academy (under the creative guidance of professor Valery Kozlov).
1988 - Prizewinner of the National Lyssenko Piano Competition (Kiev).
1990 - Diploma-holder of the All-Union Rachmaninov Piano Competition (Moscow).
1992 - Prizewinner of the First International S.Prokofiev Piano Competition (St.-Petersburg).
1993 - Prizewinner of the First International Competition for chamber music performance “Golden Autumn” in category Piano Duo with Irina Alexeychouk (Khmelnitsky).
1996 - Prizewinner of the 45th International ARD Competition in category Piano Duo with Irina Alexeychouk (Munich).
1997 - Prizewinner of the 6th International Murray Dranoff Piano Duo Competition with Irina Alexeychouk (Miami).

Performs a lot as a soloist and as a piano duo with Irina Alexeychouk in Ukraine (Kiev, Khar’kov, Donetsk, Zaporozhie, Lugansk, Dnepropetrovsk, L’vov, Khmelnitski, Chernigov, Cherkassy, Rivne, Sumy, Belaya Tserkov’, Zhitomir, Vinnitsa, Kamenets-Podolski and others); Russia (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kuybishev, Vologda); Kazakhstan (Karaganda); Belorussia (Minsk,Vitebsk); Lithuania (Kaunas); Poland (Krakov); Yugoslavia (Belgrade, Kragujevac, Kotor, Shabac, ); Slovakia (Bans’ka Bystrytsa, Koshitse); Germany (Leipzig, Dresden, Halle, Munich, Darmstadt, Bergkamen); U.S.A. (New York, Miami), Japan (Tokio), Italy (Carrara), France (Paris, La Madeleine, Harne) - with concert programmes including works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Franck, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, Tchaikovski, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and many others.

Often performs with symphonic orchestras of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, U.S.A. and Japan. Among them:

Member of Ukrainian Rachmaninov Society and Ukrainian Association of Prizewinners of International Piano Competitions.

Took part in the International Music Festivals. Since 1994 - Professor at the piano department of Kiev National Academy of music.

1995 - awarded by title “The Honoured Artist of Ukraine”.
24.02.2000 - as a member of piano duo with Irina Alexeychouk was awarded by L.Revutski National Prize of Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, National Composers’ Union of Ukraine and National All-Ukrainian Music Union for concert activities and performing of modern music.
Since 1995 - twice a year holds master-classes in Kragujevac (Yugoslavia).
August 1997 - holded master-classes in Kotor (Yugoslavia).
2000-2002 - 5 times holded master-classes in Japan (Tokio, Kioto, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, Yamaguchi).
December 1999 - took part in the 1-st Pukhalski for young pianists competition as a member of jury (Kiev, Ukraine).
March 2000 - took part in the 1-st International S.Prokofiev young pianists competition as a member of jury (Saint-Petersburg, Russia).
September 2000 - took part in the 1-st International competition for young pianists, violinists and cellists as a member of jury (Tbilisi, Georgia).
January 2001 March 2003 March 2004 - - - took part in the 1-st International competition for young pianists GRADUS AD PARNASSUM as member of jury (Kragujevac, Serbia).
Took part in the 2-nd International competition for young pianists GRADUS AD PARNASSUM as a chairman of jury (Kragujevac, Serbia).
Took part in the 2-nd International competition for pianists MEMORIAL ISIDOR BAJIC as a member of jury (Novi Sad, Serbia).
April 2005 - took part in the 3-rd Intenational competition for young pianists GRADUS AD PARNASSUM as a member of jury (Kragujevac, Serbia).
